Good morning, this is Anna

Good morning, this is Anna.

My version of Exodus 14:13 says something like this: Stand by and see the miracle which HE will accomplish TODAY. When I say my version, I literally mean, those are my words of what God says in that verse. Praise God for sunshine today.

Mom, one of my concerns has been "how in the world will I be able to let Kurt play football again." The words were in Isaiah 40: "They shall run and not be weary" HALLELUJAH !!! You certainly can't run with part of your skull missing so I know that I know he will be okay. and better.Today was the first day that dr. Fernandez smiled at me. He has always been very very kind and compassionate. But today he smiled as he left. more later. His eyes are beginning to crack open slightly and though his pupils aren't perfect they are uniform.....keep on praying.

love, anna

Just a note...last night we had the fast at the heritage house and 35 kids fasted for the poor and destitute across the world, but also for Kurt. many raised funds. I know Ken Seid raised around 800 dollars. beside the point. we all stopped what we were doing at 730 and prayed for Kurt to open his eyes. Joe Rowles also had it announced for any listeners to do the same. We will not stop praying for you. Once again, if you need anything, you will never be a burden on us. Jon and Jaime

Just came over from "A Day in the Life of an Ambulance Driver". The world of bloggers will be praying all over America for Kurt --- one by one, as they read about his plight. My husband and I are golden oldies and added him to our prayer list just now. I am reminded of something that happened to me when I was a nursing student (at forty years old). A patient had little scraps of paper in her bed with Psalms 39 written on them, so I went home and looked it up in my "Living Bible". Ever since then, I have claimed it when big problems come into my life.
Especially Ps.39:12&13 "Hear my prayer, O Lord; listen to my cry! Don't sit back, unmindful of my tears. For I am your guest. I am a traveler passing through the earth, as all my fathers were. Spare me, Lord! Let me recover and be filled with happiness again before my death."
We will be praying for you and Kurt.

Jerry and Anna, i have met your family 5 years ago when i came to the porkies. I have always been impressed by your families talent. But your family is so amazing with the support group they have to offer and continous support and prayer. Anyone should be so lucky to have met people like you. And I believe good things happen to good people, and i believe that all of your prayers will be answered. God bless. We [ Nathan, Tanya, Christian, Nate jr ] will say a special prayer at bedtime for Kurt and for your family tonight. There is not an hour that goes by that we don't hope and pray for you.
god bless,
The Maki family

Visiting you guys today I encountered the strongest family unit that I have ever been blessed to know. You are an inspiration and being around you gives us all strength.

When I went to Kurt's bedside today the first thing I noticed was how big he has gotten. I have known you guys through years of playgroup and elementary basketball and he was always Kaisa and Daniel's little brother. Now without me even realizing it he has become a young man, and a strong one at that!!! Seeing him today has made me even more sure that he is going to come out of this and probably ask us what all the fuss was about, and why the heck was Chris Frazer in his room! He will also be able to read this blog and the numerous cards and poster sent by people and realize how this community cares for him and his entire family.

My prayers are with you!

Tonight Stepanie and I were eating Chinese for dinner and as we got to our fortune cookies I told her to pray it was a sign from God. Our fortune cookie read: Everyone around you is rooting for you. Don't give up.
If this wasn't a sign I'm not sure what is. Kurt, you really do have many people rooting for you and we all know you can do it!

Dearest Anna and Jerry, We have been praying, praying, praying. I believe if prayer could be measured as if it were light, Ontonagon would be a beacon of light ascending to the heavens above so brightly that all the angels would have to wear sunglasses:) We think of you guys constantly and we want you to know how much we love you all!!!! Please give "FRANK T" a big hug from me. Stay strong. With Lotsa Love and Hugs, Deb and Bob Dix

My family and I will keep you and Kurt in our prayers. GOD is an awesome GOD we just have to have faith. GOD tells us that the prayer of the righteous availeth much. GOD is in the healing business and even a prayer all the way in Okinawa,Japan can make a difference. I'll let the members of our church know and we'll pray in unity for a complete recovery. GOD is good, not just sometimes but all the time. Keep the faith and be strong.

God is a great and wonderful God who does and will answer our prayers. He is a God of Miracles and that is what we will be praying for - a miracle in the life of your son. As the scriptures say in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for your...to give you a future and a hope". Many people, those you know and those that you don't are now walking this journey in life with you. Karen
