Blakes staying at the Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House sounds like a great place for family members with loved ones in the hospital. Here's a message from Anna's Mom & Dad, Don and Norma Haro of Leesburg, FL:

Anna called this morning and talked for a long time. It was good to hear her laugh about some things; she retains her sense of humor. The "House" is three floors and dinners are home made and brought in every evening. Jerry was getting a well earned rest and the rest of them stayed in the lounge. There are three living rooms plus recreation area in the basement. Visitors are welcome!

She said Kurt reacts when the nurses "fuss" around him in that his blood pressure goes up so they keep activity at a minimum. Today should be peak time for the swelling. Keep on praying. I'm glad you, Steve could go up there. You always bring a breath of fresh air.

We're starting to hear of miracle situations that when the patient comes out of it they are "over" it. Praise God, this would be the case with Kurt.

She said the girl that was skiing with him has a video of his jump. Anna hadn't watched it yet even though she has the camera with her.

So glad you can fly down Pat, She can use your wisdom and support.

We're going to wait a while before going up. There's been a lot of activity there which is good but I think they need a breather too.

Love you all, Mom and Dad
