Jerry, Anna, Dan, and Kaisa,
We have no words to express our sympathy for you and all your family. Kurt was a exceptional young man. There is nothing we can say to console you and we are sure you have heard it already, but whatever you may need, we offer our service to you.

We are so sorry for your loss, nothing compares to losing a child or a sibling. He was a bright, fantastic young man that we are privilaged to have known. Throughout his short time here on earth he was an inspiration to everyone who he came in contact with. Everyone should live life the way he did, with the determination and the will to be the best he could be at each and everyting he did. I hope everyone will live by his example. He will be missed in this community and this world.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Chris, Scott, Haily, Jake & Catie Frazer
Dear Jerry, Anna, Daniel and Kaisa,
Our God is an awesome God, He reigns in heaven above, with wisdom, power and love, Our God is an awesome God!!!
He will sustain you during this very difficult time, through your relationship with Him. Receive his healing blessings and protection.
As we know, each earthly breath is a gift from heaven. Kurt has received a new kind of breath in the victory of his new life. Death is the final healing.
Continued prayers and peace to you,
Love always,
Paula,Mike,Jordy,Carly and Kirsty Maloney
Blake Family,
We only knew Kurt from playing/coaching against him in basketball. We were all impressed by his natural athletic ability, but even more so by his outstanding sportsmanship...so much so that we all talked about it in the locker room after the game this season. The world has lost a fantastic young man. We are so sorry for your tragic loss.

Dear Jerry, Anna and children
As I was searching information of you, my son's distant relatives, in order to get in touch with you after all these years, I came upon this very tragic piece of news.
I wish you all the best during these hard days. A person whom you loved will live forever in your memories.

Blake Family,
We in NV are so sorry to hear of your loss. We know you spent many a moments on your knees petitioning God for Kurt's healing. Not knowing you, but reading your posts, it is obvious that you have a very strong faith system, and it is carrying you through especially when you think it impossible to go on. I have passed the news on to those who have been praying and asked them to remember your family in this time of need. We are all praying that God would wrap His loving arms around you and give you the comfort and peace that passes all understanding. We are praying that through your grief His glory shines brighter and brighter, that others that don't know Him will see the strength and hope and courage you possess that is obviously not of your own doing nor will, but the character of a loving and compassionate God.
Being a very young man, and popular at that, there will be many young people (and old alike) that will truly question God. God can handle that! He delights in our searching Him and finding Him in the midst of our questioning His existence. Baby James wasn't born alive. He was revived several times, and will suffer lifelong complications. Our son, Baby James dad, is a minister. Many began to question why this would happen to someone who serves the Lord with his whole heart - they would say I don't want anything to do with a God like that. Yet, many are learning through that little family of faith many things. We have often said that what James' little life has done has caused "even the rocks to cry out" on his behalf. One thing that I would love to pass on to you is something my son wrote on his blog. "We know that God is super huge and super compassionate and hears our every little prayer on behalf of James. We pray expectantly, knowing that God will only do what is best for His glory and our growth. We know that God is in the business of playing "April Fools" jokes on doctors. Considering the fact that He is infinitely powerful and infinitely compassionate, we know that it would only be for an infinitely good reason that God would not heal James from his brain injury."
While many may question God's goodness, or God's existence, Jeremiah 29 tells us that there is a plan and a purpose for our lives. We know that we are all here on borrowed time from the moment we breathe our first breath. While it is intended for us to grieve our loss of our loved ones, and God is compassionate and ready to comfort us in that - it is also important to realize that Kurt has fulfilled his purpose. God is the only being that has the ability to breathe life and take it away. God wants our good, but more than that He wants His glory to shine in us. Through the prayers that were petitioned for Kurt and your family God was glorified, and through Kurt's death God is being glorified in you. It is ONLY for an INFINITELY good reason God did not choose to heal Kurt. Kurt today is the fortunate one. Your grief is natural normal and expected. The grief of his fellow classmates is the same. But Kurt...is dancing on streets that are golden. He is sitting at the right hand of the Father. He is experiencing LIFE and knows no pain. He is looking into the fullness of the glory of God that we mere humans can never ever understand - and the hope is that all who grieve and all who question someday will not only reunite with Kurt - but will also be looking into the glorious face of our powerful and loving God.
Our prayers are with you. Our hope is in God that he will carry you through this most difficult time, and make your memories of Kurt so real and so vivid that it will be as if he is right there with you when you need him to be. We will continue to lift you up in these coming months as the seasons change and life moves on. God is faithful. God IS good. God IS compassionate. and God IS God. He will fullfill his promises and He will walk you through this valley. Trust Him. Lean on Him. Love Him. Wail before Him. He knows you, He loves you, He died for you. Glory be to God!
