Improvement on Wednesday, 3/12

Kurt is breathing somewhat above the ventilator. this is awesome. they don't know for sure if he could hold his own without it. But he is breathing some.

Today we are praying specifically for Kurt to open his eyes within 36 hours. this will be a major breakthrough in the doctors eyes and ours. hallelujah.

Donations for Kurt:
Redeemer Free Lutheran anticipates applying for a Thrivent Financial for Lutherans matching fund project for Kurt. Initial indications are that up to $5000 would be available to match individual contributions. I've contacted Michelle Wilber, who is working on a pasta dinner, and the party that has donation cans at WUPY and OASD, and Lisa, who is behind a can drive. If funds collected are channeled through Redeemer Free they can be counted toward the matching funds and essentially doubled. Individuals wanting to contribute directly may also do so. Checks can be sent to Redeemer Free Lutheran Church and a notation of "Kurt Blake" should be made. The address is 315 S. Steel Street, Ontonagon, 49953

The first time i hear about this. I was looking at the post it in metavantes website and was happy to see people of such great faith and strenght. Hebrews 13:15, when you offer God a sacrifice of praise-the fruit of lips that confess his name, we reach another level. Its not just any praise, its a praise thanking God although there is a storm in your lives. I know that Kurt will come out healed in the name of Jesus for testimony to others and glory to our King. I will present this to my church and we will all pray that Kurts miracle comes sooner, cause its coming alright. Confess his healing and victory.I love you guys in Jesus Christ.

hey kurt-

Ever since saturday i've been a wreck until tonight.
At the Heritage we all prayed and prayed for you and your family and all your friends, while that was going on i cried, a lot.
And i remembered when we used to joke around and you used to tell me i would laugh if somthing like this happened to you, well not exactly! Like i said i've been a mess.
We all miss you and schools just not the same so i cant wait until you get back so it will be fun again!! I pray for you and your family every night and everytime i get home from school the first thing i ask is if theres any news from your parents.
It's a shame that something like this had to happen to show me what God can do and that your were one of my best guy friends.
I cant wait to see you again!!
Love you buddy and i'm praying for you and your family- you can get through this!!

Love: Britt.

Oh and Anna, you and your husband did an amazing job at raising all your kids! Kurt is always so respectful!!

Kurt, Anna, Jerry, Dan & Kaisa:

Every free second of the day I find myself thinking about you and praying for all of you. You are such a strong family with such amazing faith in God, and I know He'll be with you. I just pray that Kurt will improve even a little bit every day. I know he's strong and can make it through. I pray that all of you keep your faith and strength up. I can't even begin to imagine how you feel, but I know you will get through this with God's help.
